Built using Black Bean and Tasmanian Oak, and using the traditional ship building technique of plank and frame construction, The Bounty is fully fitted with internal decks and bulkheads, and displays superb attention to the fine details, with all masts, blocks and tackles handmade. The construction utilised a copy of the original ship’s plans, acquired from the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich. According to the maker,“it took months, years to build. I never keep track of the actual hours.”
